HARVESTING CONTRACTS MANAGER / HARVESTING MANAGER

We have exciting opportunity for you to be a key member of our South and central Scotland Harvesting Team in the role of Harvesting Contracts Manager or Harvesting Manager, depending on experience.
Harvesting Contracts Manager role will be to assists with the management of timber harvesting operations with specific responsibility for all aspects of site management, harvesting production and logistics. The successful candidate will be expected to take on the Forestry Work Manager role and report to the Area Harvesting Manager.
Harvesting Managers will be additionally responsible for undertaking coup and stand valuations, securing new harvesting opportunities, stand breakout and P&L as well as growing their designated area.
About You:
As an experienced forestry professional, with a background in forestry (or other related sector), you are able to demonstrate your strong commercial acumen and ability to build and maintain strong working relationships. In addition, you’ll have:
• Relevant supervisory experience.
• Safety, environmental and commercial awareness.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to lead teams effectively.
• Ability to manage day to day relationships with contractors, hauliers, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to work in fast-paced changing commercial environment.
• Self-motivation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good IT skills.
• Team player qualities.
• Full Driving Licence
