SWEDISH forestry trade fair Elmia Wood has been postponed until 2022, the latest in a long line of industry events to fall victim to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event was initially planned for May 18–21, 2021.
Announcing the decision, Lotta Frenssen, CEO of Elmia AB, said: “The current situation is very difficult to analyse. Unfortunately we have no other option than to postpone and focus on adapting to the new, worldwide situation. Large, international trade fairs require a long time for planning and preparation, which has left us with no other option than to make the difficult decision to postpone Elmia Wood to 2022.”
The next Elmia Wood will be held on June 2–4, 2022, with the overriding theme of ‘the value of forests’.
