FORESTRY track manufacturer Olofsfors has made a key appointment as it seeks to “strengthen its market position”.
Alexander Bakshi has joined the Sweden-based firm as salesperson in the product segment forestry tracks.
Mainly responsible for support in Sweden and Norway, his appointment comes at a time of Europe-wide struggles for much of the forestry sector. But Olofsfors bosses say they have chosen to “go against the tide” to “drive growth”.

Kjell-Erik Åström, who is sales and marketing manager for business area forest, said: "We are proud of our success so far, but we also see that the market is becoming increasingly complex and competitive.
"To ensure that we continue to grow and deliver value to our customers, it is important that we invest in our market side.”
With this reinforcement, the company plans to intensify its focus on both domestic and international markets, where new opportunities and partnerships have already been identified.
Alexander – a new face in the forestry industry - will be an important part of this venture.
He said: "It feels incredibly exciting to be able to jump into a new industry together with such a long-established company as Olofsfors, it will be fun to be able to go out into the market and meet all new people.”
Kjell-Erik added: "A stronger team and increased resources are key to our continued growth and the ability to meet the evolving needs of our customers."
