MANUFACTURER Moheda has introduced a new wheel option on one of its best-selling forestry trailers.
The 10-tonne M101 can now be fitted with 500/50×17 tyres (up from its previous 400/60x15.5) for when "you want less ground pressure and a more stable trailer".
A statement from the FTG-affiliated firm read: "It looks great with 500 wheels.
"The M101 has a load capacity of 10 tonnes and is Moheda’s best-selling trailer, popular with both forestry and farm workers.
"The trailer combines agility with large capacity, and is designed to meet the tough demands of the forest.
"Moheda’s forestry trailers and cranes are designed and manufactured in Bäckefors, by forestry people for forestry people."
Elsewhere, FTG Källefall has announced that a number of its forestry trailers can now be registered for use on public roads in all EU countries (but not the UK).
The FB50, FB60, FB70, FB90, FB90D, FB100 and FB120D all meet the standard, which allows them to be driven at up to 30 km/h.
A statement added: "To fulfil type approval requirements, the trailer must be equipped with either 2- or 4-wheel hydraulic or pneumatic brake system, lights and reflectors complying with the requirements and with tyres of a specific size.
"Approved trailers can be identified by its type-approval plate."
