Pierre Roy, CEO of Portable Winch, emphasised the significance of the new CER500W engine, saying: “A two-stroke engine is something new for us.

“Until now we’ve been using Honda engines and of course we have a battery model, but the two-stroke is something people requested because they want to use the same fuel as in their chainsaws, which makes things easier for them.’’

He added: “With a two-stroke you need a really good engine. You want something that you know will start when you get to the forest.”

The PCW4500’s engine provides 20 per cent more pulling power compared Portable Winch’s previous models.

“We chose the Maruyama engine because of its reputation for quality and reliability,” added Pierre. “This partnership allows us to offer a product that not only exceeds our customers’ expectations but also comes with a five-year warranty on both the engine and the winch, ensuring peace of mind and long-term performance.

“This level of warranty is exceptional in the engine world, especially for a two-stroke motor.”
