THE third Big Rescue Event is to be held this month.
Dozens of professional arborists and assessors will descend on Compton Verney, Warwickshire, for the training day with a difference, which will be held on Friday, 14 June.
Organised by Chris Wyatt of CTS Forestry and Arboriculture, the idea behind the event is to bring together a large group to run through workshops to refresh their aerial rescue skills in line with the most up-to-date industry good practice. All money raised from ticket sales goes directly to the Air Ambulance Service to help it continue its important work.
To increase the donations further, there will also be a raffle held on the day. Fletcher Stewart has returned as a sponsor, so expect products from C.A.M.P. and other top brands from the world of tree climbing and arboriculture among the prizes.
More than 150 arborists took part in the last Big Rescue Event, held in 2022, raising over £13,000 for charity.
The Big Rescue Event 2024 will be held on Friday, 14 June, at Compton Verney, Warwickshire. For more details, contact Chris at chriswyatt.cts@gmail.com or search for the Big Rescue Event 2024 at www.eventbrite.co.uk.
