A LEADING dealer of arb-focused machinery has announced it will be closing.

Bosses at Warrington-based Spectrum Plant say they have made the decision to shut down after 15 years in the trade.

The firm was best known for providing machines and parts for major brands such as Först, FSI Stump Cutters, and WorkyQuads.

It is unknown how many jobs are likely to be lost as a result of the news, but in its most recent Companies House statement, Spectrum Plant said it had 18 members of staff.

In a statement posted on social media on Friday, Spectrum Plant's chief Mark Schaefer wrote: "I am sorry to say that after 15 years, I have made the decision to close Spectrum Plant.

"We’ve had a fantastic time working with our amazing customers over that time and would like to thank you all for your support.

"However, every cloud has a silver lining! Over the next few weeks, we will be clearing out our remaining stock and will be offering some incredible bargains on our website and eBay shop. Keep an eye out for the best deals; when they’re gone – they’re gone!

"The workshop is now closed, but we’re still here to give our usual great customer support over the phone - please get in touch if you have any queries."

Not only do we offer class leading machines we also pride ourselves on a class leading customer centric service.

"We are the sole UK importer for Cast Loaders and WorkyQuads. These innovative, solidly engineered machines are designed and built-in Italy, a country renowned for its design excellence. For over 12 years they have built a highly successful following through word of mouth. Call us and find out why, for yourself."

Spectrum Plant's demise is just the latest to hit arb. Last year, major retailer FR Jones went under in news that surprised many in the industry
