APF Exhibition organisers have issued an urgent plea for rounded timber to use in a major competition at next year's show.
Bosses at the Warwickshire event have teamed up with the UK Loggers and hope to stage the UK Loggers Championships at the Ragley Estate showpiece.
But to do so, they need supplies of wood that meet World Logging Championship rules.

APF officials are needing the following dimensions:
- 6 m x 140 mm diameter poles
- 500 mm x 30 mm poles for the snedding element
- 350 mm diameter x 2 m long lengths for the crosscutting
The logs can be any species of softwood and untreated.
A statement from APF chiefs read: "We are having a real problem finding anyone who can produce machine rounded timber to those specifications.

"The nearest we can find at the moment is Germany. That, needless to say, makes them prohibitively expensive."
