Colin Brolly Forestry, based on the west coast of Scotland, is looking for a timber harvesting operations manager to join its team.
Description
The role of Timber Harvesting Operations Manager is varied, but would involve responsibility for site management ensuring the smooth operations and monitoring of progress on work sites. The candidate would handle operational planning, conducting pre-commencement meetings and also ensure Health and Safety responsibilities are fulfilled.
You would be responsible for implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, involved with the use of GIS mapping and participate in and develop IT programmes in place.
As part of a close-knit team, excellent interpersonal skills would be essential, dealing with clients and building on work rapports formed over many years, liaising with management and also dealing with the concerns of operators.
The candidate would be responsible for visiting potential sites identified by clients and preparing costings.
