UPDATE: Eco Log looks to reintroduce smaller forwarders after Gremo outcry
ECO Log has announced its range of smaller forwarders will be discontinued at the end of the year – essentially killing off the Gremo brand.
The manufacturer has confirmed its 750F, 1050F, and 1250F machines will no longer be built, saying demand is too low to justify the investment needed to continue doing so.
The move brings an end to Eco Log's production of Gremo forwarders, which began in 2020 when the two companies merged. At the time, the decision was taken to rebrand all Gremo machines in the Swedes' distinctive yellow colours.

A press release from Eco Log this week (translated from Swedish) stated: "The reason is that we are in a situation where continued production of the affected forwarder models would require significant investment to streamline production and ensure the development of the machines and their systems.
"Such an investment is not currently relevant and the demand for the affected forwarder models in their current design is not high enough in relation to the investments that we see required."
However, bosses at the firm have left the door open to potentially reintroducing one or more smaller forwarder models in the future should circumstances change. The move means Eco Log will now only offer forwarders from 14 to 20 tonnes.
When the merger between the two brands was first announced, Eco Log said at the time: “Gremo machines have amazing qualities that we know are highly valued amongst the customers.

"Even if the machines will be named and look like Eco Log, it is very important to us that all customers feel confident in what they get and recognise the functionality they are used to."
All existing orders for the 'Gremo' forwarders will be fulfilled, Eco Log has said. The Ätran workshop will also continue to service the range.
Gremo was founded in Fredrikshamn, Denmark, in the 1960s.
