TIGERCAT has become the latest forestry manufacturer to cut ties with the Russian market following the invasion of Ukraine.
The Canadian firm joins the likes of Ponsse and Komatsu in suspending all trade in and out of the nation, meaning new and used machines and spare parts will no longer be shipped to the country.
Chiefs say they can't put an end date on the move and will continue to monitor the situation.

A statement read: "Due to the Russian invasion of the sovereign state of Ukraine, Tigercat took the decision, on February 25, to suspend the delivery of equipment and spare parts to Russia.
"Tigercat regrets the consequences it may have for Tigercat distributors and customers in Russia.
"Currently, there is no visibility regarding the resumption of deliveries to Russia."
Thousands of people have lost their lives and millions been displaced since Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, ordered the invasion of Ukraine last month.

As we told previously, the war is also likely to have an impact on the stability of 2022's timber market. Russia is one of the world's major forestry players but has been largely shunned by the international community in recent weeks.
