GERMAN forestry show Forst Live, which was initially postponed from 2020 to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has now been CANCELLED, organisers have announced.

Ongoing lockdown as well as the unpredictable development of virus mutations have significantly increased market uncertainty for exhibitors and visitors, organisers said.

Forst Live was due to take place from 3-5 April 2020 at the Exhibition Centre in Offenburg, Germany, with more than 32,000 trade visitors expected. However, this was postponed as the severity of the COVID-19 pandemic became known and was rescheduled for 16–18 April 2021.

Sandra Kircher, Messe managing director, commented: “Based on the current situation, we have reassessed the feasibility of the event and unfortunately come to the conclusion that we cannot hold Forst Live with Wild & Fisch on its original date.

“Our customers, partners and employees trust us. You can have this trust even in critical situations.”

Project manager Volker Matern added: “We made this decision with a heavy heart, but the current market uncertainty does not permit an alternative valuation. Clarity and the ability to plan are important assets for us.”
