FORESTRY and Land Scotland (FLS) is taking part in a free ‘Meet the Buyer South’ event being staged at Hampden Park, Glasgow on Wednesday 13 November.
Organised by the Supplier Development Programme, in partnership with Scottish Government and Highlands and Scotland Excel, the event offers businesses in the south of Scotland an unparalleled opportunity to speak directly to a wide range of purchasers and decision-makers.
FLS procurent manager, Dorothy Low, said: “This is a great way for businesses to find out what opportunities FLS offers and to have chat with us about how they should go about taking advantage of those opportunities.
“£11 billion is spent in the public sector in Scotland each year on goods, services and works and this event will be an ideal opportunity for businesses, especially small ones to find out more about bidding for public sector work.
“This is a great way to test the water, speak to the experts and get some good advice and guidance on working with the public sector.”
The free event will bring together buyers from the public sector, including Scottish local authorities, NHS Scotland, Scottish Government bodies, the construction and transport sectors and many more.
There will also be several large private contractors exhibiting that are keen to engage with new suppliers and promote their sub-contract opportunities.
The Meet the Buyer event takes place at Hampden Park, Glasgow on 13 November, from 10am to 4pm. Spaces are limited. Anyone interested in attending is advised to register as soon as possible.
