In this series of articles, we will be sharing exclusive coverage from APF 2024.

Returning to APF under a slightly different name was Global Machinery Solutions, which last exhibited in 2022 as Global Recycling Solutions. The rebranding reflects the broadening scope of the business, which now provides machinery to forestry and arb, recycling, aggregates, construction and confi-shred.

Among the wide variety of brands provided to forestry customers are Jo Beau, Bandit, Sany, Norwood and Frontier. Somewhere in the region of 55 machines were shown off on the stand.

The most recent addition to the range is Pezzolato, which took centre stage in the demo area.

Visitors had the chance to witness regular working demonstrations of the powerful Allroad truck chipper.

Technical consultant Andy Dudley said: “In the past we weren’t really able to offer a full biomass chipper, but now with the Pezzolato brand we can offer customers everything they want.

“Pezzolato already has a good name in the market, but now with Global Machinery as its dealer customers can be assured of excellent service backup, where maybe in the past it was a bit harder.”

Focusing on the Allroad, he said: “It’s fully self-propelled, with an 800 horsepower engine and a chipper drum that’s a metre in diameter. And there are various configurations of that drum, depending on what chip size you want. In operating mode the cab actually lifts up, turns round and faces the in-feed, so the operator’s got a fantastic view.

“The main thing is that, due to its classification, it can go on all roads, including motorways.”
