In this series of articles, we will be sharing exclusive coverage from APF 2024.
With a broad selection of equipment and attachments from the likes of OMEF, Jensen, Bomford Turner, Intermercato, Indeco and Femac – to name just a few – there was plenty to see on the Field and Forest Machinery stand.
Operations manager Eddie Cattanach was keen to draw visitors’ attention to the Magni range of heavy-duty telescopic handlers, which feature payloads of between 10 and 45 tonnes.
Described as platform, crane and forklift in one machine, the telehandlers boast working heights ranging from 18 to 51 metres and lifting capacities between four and 13 tonnes. The cab with A/C and panoramic windshield offers exceptional visibility, while rough-terrain tyres and high ground clearance make them perfect for irregular forestry terrain.
Every model is equipped with four-wheel drive and steering to ensure maximum stability.
Field and Forest is also the UK importer of GMT Equipment grapple saws and the company’s founder and CEO, Michel Gierkink, put in a special appearance on the stand. He told how the manufacturer was concentrating on plug-and-play solutions to suit machines like Magni telehandlers and others.
He added: “Field and Forest is a really nice team to work with and it’s good to get feedback from customers out in the field. We’ve had very nice weather and a lot of people come to visit us. It’s a really good show.”
