In this series of articles, we will be sharing exclusive coverage from APF 2024.
Occupying a small space next to the Spaldings stand was Neomach, producer of the Nova series of compact loaders. A company new to the UK, it made its exhibition debut at APF 2024.
On the stand was the X40, the largest model in the Nova series, which features a Kohler KSD 1403 Stage V engine, a lifting capacity of 1,200 kg, total weight (including back weights) of just under two tonnes and a width of 1.2 m (though it can be narrower than one metre with smaller tyres).
Export sales manager Will Cheyney explained: “Neomach was founded in 2020 by Stefano Belia, whose family has been in steelwork and manufacturing metalwork fabrication for 50 years.
"Together with another Stefano, a former employee of Antonio Carraro Tractors, he set out to design a machine to compete with the entry-level models of Avant and Multi-One.
“Some of the features that make our machines stand out from the competition would be that we have a patent on the cab. The whole cab is suspended on four rubber blocks to take out all the kind of vibrations
“The company’s focus is on operator comfort and safety, new innovations and patents as well as superior build quality and materials. Our machines come with a floating boom, self-levelling and differential lock as standard.
"We believe those kinds of features should be standard. We also have safety valves so when the machine is working and the operator leaves the cab, all the hydraulics are locked, which is something that our competitors don't have, but we believe should be standard on all compact loaders.
“We offer a selection of attachments for forestry, construction, municipality, ground care, and agriculture.
"The option we’re showcasing today has a fully heated closed cab, which is the quietest in its class. The challenge with compact loaders is offering high performance while keeping the footprint small. This is our is our biggest machine in the Nova series.
"The entry-level X20 will be premiering in November this year. And then for the future we plan to develop the Star range in 2026, which will be a 57-hp engine with 80-litre hydraulic flow.”
