MANUFACTURER Ufkes Greentec has appointed a new dealer for some of its products in the UK.

Doyle Machinery will now offer the brand’s Forest Line of woodchippers, stump grinders, and attachments, which includes the likes of the 942 Track and 962 Track.

Existing dealer Ufkes Greentec UK – led by Mark Jibson – will continue to supply the firm’s Park Line range of machines.

Here is a look at some of the machines on offer at Doyle Machinery:

942

(Image: Supplied)

The Ufkes Greentec 942 is a powerful tracked woodchipper designed for efficiency. Featuring an opening of 450 mm x 710 mm (18” x 28”), its top roller effortlessly processes branches and heavy logs at a high rate. The infeed roller is positioned higher than other specifications, and an integrated hydraulic motor eliminates the need for infeed channel openings, making the 942 ideal for chipping large quantities of branches.

952
The Ufkes Greentec 952 MEGA wheeled woodchipper, known as ‘the all-round machine’, featuring a top and bottom infeed roller and two standing infeed rollers with an infeed opening of 300 x 610 1060 mm.

(Image: Supplied)

The drum rotor is powered by two internal hydraulic motors. It offers a spacious opening for logs up to 550 mm and wide bushes. Optionally equipped with a hydraulically raisable closed infeed chain and a Palfinger C45F84 Wood crane, materials can be easily fed to the infeed rollers and released through the top chute for storage or further use. This machine can discharge chips at a rate of 100–150 m³ per hour with a drum containing four chipping knives and one anvil knife that creates uniform woodchips with a 25 mm overbite.

962
The Ufkes Greentec woodchipper is a compact model designed for the toughest jobs. The 962 model boasts a chipping capacity of up to 25.5” (65 cm) and is equipped with six knives in the drum for efficient material processing.

With up to 34 mm of adjustment of the solid blades, varying chip sizes can be achieved to meet the end user’s specification. With a top and bottom infeed roller and two side infeed rollers reducing dead space and increasing material grip, the machine ensures uniform results with less strain. It can handle logs up to 650 mm in size with ease due to an infeed roller powered by a heavy-duty porcelain motor.

Optional features include anvil knife variations, quick change/solid fixed blades, and a closed infeed chain.

FÖRST
ST6P HD

(Image: Supplied)

THE story starts with the ST6, but it’s the game-changing ST6P – the fastest selling sub-750 kg chipper on the market – where Först really started to disrupt the norm.

With the success of the ST6P and relaxation of towing regulations, it was no longer necessary to keep Europe’s leading 6” chipper under 750 kg, allowing for a heavy-duty big brother to enter production.

Towing regulations were relaxed in December 2021, making towing more accessible for more people. If you passed your test from 1 January 1997 onwards, you are now allowed to tow trailers up to 3,500 kg MAM.

So the ST6P HD was born.

Still weighing in at only 885 kg, the ST6P HD brings all the performance and speed of the ST6P but packs it into a robust steel construction. Featuring an all-steel bonnet, over-rated axel and running gear, upgraded larger robust jockey wheel and a spare wheel as standard mounted to the chassis.

The ST6P HD offers all the quality, power and performance that you’d expect from Först and utilises the same punchy and fuel-efficient 37 hp V-Twin petrol engine as the ST6P. Thanks to EFI technology, fuel is used on demand, making it incredibly efficient with no loss in performance.

The ST6P HD offers the same high-performance aggressive chipping that you’d expect from Först and includes the outstanding FörstGrip feed roller system and open top flywheel system, where material is thrown and not blown, meaning blockages on wet material are a thing of the past.

The ST6P HD really is a heavyweight in the 6” class. Först has you covered in the 750 kg + market.

OFFICIALLY launched at the Arb Show 2024, the EVO 205TT from GreenMech combines exceptional chipping performance with a 360o turntable for unrivalled flexibility in machine positioning. The latest iteration of their revolutionary EVO Series, the EVO 205TT is set to become the benchmark in the 750 kg+ category for versatility, efficiency and safe operation.

Packed with the many features now synonymous with GreenMech’s EVO Series including wide infeed chute, heavy-duty flywheel and horizontal rollers for excellent grip and flow of material, the EVO 205TT is the solution for the largest and most challenging of jobs. At its heart is a Stage V Kubota 50 hp diesel engine which works in combination with GreenMech’s ‘Smart Sense’ controller – for automatic load/overload detection and optimal engine torque – to deliver powerful performance with the added benefit of optimised fuel consumption.

The turntable design allows up to 44 different infeed positions throughout the 360 degrees of rotation for unbeatable operator safety, easy to set and adjust via a single release handle. With intuitive and easy-to-operate controls, arborists can be assured of additional comfort thanks to the EVO 205TT’s hinged steel bonnet and additional fans which, in conjunction with GreenMech’s disc-blade chipping system, makes the machine one of the quietest woodchippers
on the market.

Maintenance and servicing also haven’t been overlooked in the design of the EVO 205TT with centralised grease points, improved access to the flywheel and a manual flywheel clutch which assists in the maintenance of correct belt tensioning. All of these features result in less time spent in the workshop and more time in the field.

As standard, the EVO 205TT comes with GreenMech’s three-year unlimited, ‘no quibble’ parts and labour warranty and the support of their nationwide dealer network. A range of flexible finance options are also available to UK customers to maximise their investment while optimising their cash flow.

FUELWOOD
HEIZOHACK

(Image: Supplied)

HEIZOHACK is one of the leading European brands in the forestry and biomass machinery market. Based in Bavaria, Germany, it has been producing chippers since 1989.

Typically, the hand-fed range caters for people producing their own biomass chip or country estates looking to maintain their land and use the chip as a source of heating.

The crane-fed range of Heizohack chippers are powerful professional machines used by contract companies or cooperatives that use the large capacity for site clearance work and sell the chip as a by-product.

The popular models from the hand-fed range are the HM4-300 and the HM6-300, which are 12” machines, and the large 16” diameter capacity HM8-400, which all produce G30 or G50 grade chip, depending on the sieve fitted.
